We’re proud to welcome Aventus, a leading international recruitment consultancy based in Dubai, as the newest member of the Play It Green community.
As our first partner in the United Arab Emirates, Aventus is taking meaningful action by connecting business success with positive impact. The company has subscribed to our climate focused workforce subscription to drive sustainability within the organisation and beyond. And on top of that, for every placement they make, five trees will be planted, supporting verified nature repair projects in Kenya, Senegal, and Canada.
Their commitment extends even further through their support for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, helping provide vital care and support for children with life-shortening conditions and their families.
We caught up with Keon George, CCO and Co-Founder, to learn more about Aventus’s growth, their sustainability vision, and how this partnership is helping them combine purpose with performance.
Please tell us a little about Aventus and what the company does.
Aventus is a recruitment and search consultancy based in Dubai. We help organisations across the GCC hire exceptional people in financial services, corporate functions, technology and transformation.
We started eight years ago with a simple idea: build a business that puts people first. That means real relationships, honest conversations and doing things properly. We now have more than 30 consultants working in our office and a further 100 Aventus consultants embedded in clients across the region. Despite our growth, the same people-first mindset still guides everything we do.
What inspired Aventus to make sustainability part of its business journey?
It just felt like the right thing to do. The region is changing fast and as a business that has grown here, we want to be part of that positive change.
For us, sustainability is about more than planting trees or ticking a box. It is about impact, and about building something that has purpose. We want Aventus to succeed commercially, but also to stand for something that matters.
Can you tell us why you took out the workforce subscription?
Everyone in the business is equally excited about this initiative. It’s not just about being green, it’s about being a force for good. We want every person at Aventus to feel part of it and to help us grow in a way that’s ethical, sustainable and aligned with our values.
This partnership gives everyone a sense of ownership. Whether it’s through how we work, the partners we choose, or the impact we create, we want sustainability and positive action to be part of the everyday culture at Aventus.
Why did you choose to plant five trees with every placement and support Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice?
Planting trees felt like a meaningful way to connect what we do every day to something bigger. Every successful placement already changes lives, and now it also gives back to the planet. It is simple, visible and something our team can feel proud of.
Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is a cause that really resonated with us. The work they do for children and families is powerful and we wanted to make sure our impact also supports the people who need it most.
What attracted Aventus to partner with Play It Green, and how does this collaboration align with your values?
What stood out about Play It Green was how genuine it felt. Speaking to Richard it was obvious this was a passion project and something with a powerful why behind it. His motivation to make a difference over and above commercials really resonated with us.
At Aventus we talk about people first, and that extends beyond recruitment. It is about doing things properly, treating people with respect and being consistent in our values. This partnership fits that perfectly and allows us to link growth with giving back.
What’s next for Aventus as you continue to grow and build on this positive impact?
We are expanding and growing rapidly as a business, as we do that and reach new milestones its important that we do this in an ethical and sustainable way.
Over time we want Aventus to be known not just for results, but for doing things with purpose. If we can build a successful business that is good for people and the planet, that is something we can all be proud of.
