A new sustainability summit
Play It Green is proud to announce that we will be collaborating with Better Not Stop for the Better Business Summit.
The Summit, which will be held on November 10, is designed to help delegates explore and embrace the green agenda.
This conference-with-a-twist, features carbon literacy training, keynote speakers, micro talks, workshops and tangible ways to become a leader of change with two complementary events either side to support your impact journey as a Business Leader
Split into three sections: seed, feed and grow – the inaugural event will be held at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Business School.
According to YouGov, 60% of people want to go greener, putting sustainability at the top of the agenda for UK business leaders. Especially with the government’s drive to hit net zero by 2050.
Better Business Summit
The Better Business Summit is the brainchild of Hannah Cox, founder of sustainability impact agency Better Not Stop and The Better Business Network.
It is being hosted in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University and Ethos magazine and will cover everything from leadership and finance to activism, impact and empowerment.
Organiser Hannah Cox said:
“We wanted to create something really special in the North West for business leaders who want to make positive change in their lives, their businesses, and the wider world.
“The Better Business Summit is an opportunity to collaborate and learn from some of the brightest changemakers in the UK.
“With two fantastic partners on board so far and a great interactive space at the university’s business school the 2022 summit is set to inspire attendees and provide tons of actionable takeaways.”
Delegates can join the action a day early on Wednesday 9th for a one-day accredited carbon literacy training course for professionals at the first Carbon Literate Venue in Manchester, HOME designed for professionals who want to act on climate change.
The fully accessible event will have 300 tickets available as well as up to 50 free places for students.
And organisers are expecting places to be snapped up.
Andrew Beattie, co-founder of Ethos, added: “We like to focus on action in the magazine – things that people can actively do to create change for the better.
“So the Better Business Summit is a great reason to bring people together to share insights and experience in the pursuit of a better business world.”
