Over 33 months, that simple contribution has funded 77,776 trees, mangroves and sea kelp, rebalanced 7,647.6 tonnes of CO₂e and raised £3,888.80 for The Children’s Air Ambulance.

The Regency Club is a family-run London restaurant with a loyal customer base and a strong sense of community. Through Play It Green, customers can support nature repair and social impact through a small £1 contribution that can be removed from the bill.

A Small Optional £1 With a Big Collective Result
The Regency Club impact is often shown through tree numbers, yet the full picture is broader. Through Play It Green, customer contributions support trees, mangroves and sea kelp, each playing a different role in nature repair.
Trees help restore land, support biodiversity, improve soil health and create local opportunities. Mangroves protect coastlines, provide nursery habitats for marine life and support communities connected to fishing and coastal livelihoods. Sea kelp restoration supports ocean health and includes Indigenous-led work off the coast of Canada.
Climate action works best when it supports nature as a whole. The Regency Club customers have helped support restoration across different ecosystems, giving the impact more depth and long-term value.
The People Behind the Planting
Nature repair is about ecosystems, yet it is about people too. The work funded through Play It Green helps create income, skills and opportunity for communities connected to restoration projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Senegal and Canada.
Recent social impact data from Kenya shows 486 people employed through restoration work, with women making up 53% of full-time staff and 29 women in leadership roles. Reporting shows 1,675 full-time employees and households with access to water, 1,686 with access to health insurance, and 100 with access to financial services.
In Tanzania, social impact data shows 205 people employed, with women making up 64% of full-time staff and 8 women in leadership roles. Reporting shows 230 full-time employees and households with access to water, 198 with access to health insurance, and 16 with access to financial services.
These figures show why restoration can create value far beyond carbon and planting totals. It can support steadier work, higher local income, greater financial security and more opportunities for women to lead.

Measured, Tracked and Shared
Trust matters with any customer contribution, and The Regency Club’s impact is visible through its Play It Green Forest Garden. Customers can see the total funded impact, including trees, mangroves, sea kelp, CO₂e rebalancing and money given to The Children’s Air Ambulance.
Play It Green’s wider reporting includes blockchain-backed planting data, project updates, field reports, social impact information and bioacoustic monitoring. Blockchain-backed data helps protect against double-counting, giving restoration records an extra layer of transparency.
Bioacoustic monitoring adds another level of insight by using natural sound to track ecosystem recovery. Birdsong, insects and wildlife activity can show how restoration areas are changing over time.
This means the optional £1 is connected to visible impact, real reporting and a wider system of checks. The story is built on measured action, shared openly.
