Tracking Ecosystem Health with Bioacoustics

Our planting partner installs bioacoustic sensors on trees at restoration sites to record bird vocalisations. These recordings provide valuable data on species presence, behaviour, and population trends. Birds are recognised bioindicators, making them a reliable measure of ecosystem health.

Analysing this data allows us to track the effectiveness of reforestation and ensure our projects restore not just tree cover, but thriving, resilient ecosystems.
