DMR Training x Play It Green: Introduction
We are thrilled to welcome DMR Training, founded by Dave Radley, as the newest member of the Play It Green community. DMR Training provides professional development courses in construction, energy efficiency, and health & safety. Based in Leigh, they focus on delivering engaging and practical training that helps both individuals and businesses succeed.
DMR Training is joining our Climate Positive Workforce initiative. They will participate in weekly sustainability education, delivered straight to each team member’s inbox. This education is designed to reduce environmental impact and encourage sustainable practices within their operations and personal lives. Additionally, Play It Green will plant a mix of trees, mangroves, and sea kelp each month for every team member. This effort supports our commitment to ecological restoration and carbon reduction.
To show their dedication to community and social responsibility, DMR Training has chosen to support the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity. By donating 10% of their subscription fees, they are helping to end homelessness in the region.

Please, tell us a little about DMR Training
Founded in 2013, DMR Training is a specialist provider of bespoke training and qualifications in the construction and energy efficiency sectors. With a focus on accessibility and flexibility, we provide NVQ assessment, business support and tailored training programs designed around the needs of companies and their employees. We serve a diverse clientele, from large construction companies to freelance builders. This ensures they receive the necessary skills and qualifications for professional growth.
Why is sustainability important to DMR Training?
The demand for environmentally responsible practices in the construction industry is on the rise – rightfully so – and as a provider of training and qualifications in this sector, we want to align our internal culture at DMR with the industry’s shift towards greener methods. Emphasising and practising sustainable ways of working helps us stay relevant and enhances our reputation. Furthermore, it attracts eco-conscious clients, and ensures we make a positive contribution to the planet.
By reducing our carbon footprint and promoting green initiatives, we aim to lead by example, inspiring our clients and trainees to follow us. If we’re to achieve the sustainable future we all want to see, everyone has a role to play.

What does the future hold for DMR Training?
The future looks very exciting for DMR as we keep expanding our portfolio of business services. Also, through our social value plans, we aim to continue growing our support for the community we live and work in.
We have shifted our focus towards measuring the economic and social impact our business has with greater accuracy. We are a people-focused business at heart.
