Six months after Play It Green, L’Occitane Group recently announced its B Corporation certification. An announcement that reinforces its commitment to positive change. This milestone reflects the group’s dedication to community empowerment and climate action.
Adrien Geiger, Chief Sustainability Officer, states, “Championing sustainability since 1976, we’re thrilled to join businesses that harness their power for a sustainable world.”
What sets B Corp apart is that it measures and verifies a company’s entire social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Furthermore, to achieve certification, the Group rigorously evaluated its impact on all its stakeholders. This includes employees, the wider community, suppliers, customers, shareholders, and the environment. These measurements take place in its offices, factories, stores, and supply chain.

Inspirational Green News: Lego Embarks on $1.4Bn Sustainable Journey
The LEGO Group, one of the world’s largest toy manufacturers, is embarking on a $1.4 billion journey towards a sustainable future. It has announced a commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050.
Collaborating with the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi), the LEGO Group is dedicated to enhancing its sustainability. It will do this by reducing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Recent announcements have set a target of slashing emissions by 37% by 2032, based on 2019 levels.
Niels Christiansen, CEO of the LEGO Group, emphasises, “Our immediate focus is meeting our 2032 carbon reduction goals, making strides in various initiatives. This long-term objective ensures our decisions today reduce our carbon footprint for generations to come.”
The path to a sustainable future involves significant investments over the next three years. This is to minimise environmental impact beyond its operations and supply chain.
Christiansen underscores the importance of children’s concerns about the environment. He say that “They hold us accountable, urging us to set ambitious goals and take meaningful actions to safeguard their futures.”

Inspirational Green News: Fujitsu Brings its Net Zero Target Forward
Fujitsu has made a groundbreaking commitment to fast-track its carbon neutrality goals, shifting the target to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2030, two decades ahead of its previous timeline. Moreover, Fujitsu is striving to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2040, emphasising a holistic approach to sustainability.
To support this ambitious agenda, Fujitsu is accelerating its transition to renewable energy, intending to source 100% of its electricity from renewables by 2030. Also, this initiative, coupled with the recent SBTi certification of its Net-Zero targets, showcases Fujitsu’s resolute dedication to environmental responsibility.
Furthermore, Fujitsu has issued the “Fujitsu Group Environmental Action Plan (Stage XI),”. The plan encompasses initiatives to reduce emissions, increase energy efficiency, and promote sustainability across its operations and supply chain.
