MBH Networking x Play It Green: New Member

MBH Networking x Play It Green: Introduction

We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with MBH Business Networking, a leading networking organisation in Manchester. MBH is run by Leah Bentley and sponsored by Greenlight Computers. The organisation is committed to environmental sustainability and supports local businesses through professional networking events.

MBH Business Networking contributes to ecological restoration by planting two trees (mangroves and sea kelp) for every attendee at their events. They also offer a green ticket option, which plants 10 trees with each purchase.

In demonstrating their dedication to community and social responsibility, MBH has chosen to support the Manchester charity, Coffee4Craig. They are now regiving 10% of their fees to this commendable organisation.

We recently had the opportunity to catch up with Leah Bentley to learn more about MBH Business Networking’s history, core values, and what the future holds for this innovative Networking Company. We are excited about the potential of our collaboration and the positive changes it will bring.

Welcome aboard, MBH Business Networking! Together, we are making strides towards a greener, more sustainable future

Please, tell us a little about MBH Networking

Manchester Business Hub (MBH) is a business directory based in the North West of England. We host numerous business networking events locally in aid of B2B collaborations and connections. MBH is here to help connect you with the right people and our networking events are an ideal way to start that journey.

Why is sustainability important to MBH Networking?

We believe that sustainability doesn’t just stop at home. With people’s careers being a large part of their lives it’s essential to be looking out how to become more sustainable within not only your personal life but your professional life too. It’s important to us to be doing our part for the environment and our world.

Much of our community is working towards a more sustainable work environment. It’s great that we can provide that initial “leg up” by referring them to Play it Green, for a simple and cost-effective way to do their part.

Why did MBH Networking decide to collaborate with Play It Green?

For us, collaborating with Play It Green was a no-brainer. Play It Green has been a member of MBH for some time and it has been so inspiring to hear the great work they are doing. On top of that, they’re based here in Manchester! They provide an easy and cost effective way of becoming more sustainable, what’s not to like?

Quotes

Leah Bentley, Lead, MBH Networking

“We are so happy to be collaborating with Richard and Play it Green to help create a greener and more sustainable world for all. We have always been strong advocates of sustainability. This is why we keep our networking events local and close to public transport to cut down on emission costs for each attendee. Since introducing our sustainable green tickets we have been able to start filling the MBH garden with trees with them being such a big hit at each event. Myself and the MBH team are looking forward to continuing this fantastic initiative with Play it Green

Richard Dickson, Co-Founder, Play It Green

“I have been going to MBH Networking events since the COVID lockdowns when they were online. Play It Green was also one of the first recipients of their NorthWest Carbon Heros award. The fact that we are now collaborating on environmental and social impact is awesome and a very proud moment for me.
