In our latest excellent news, Play It Green is proud to welcome Two Brews as our latest giving partner.
Now, all our members have the opportunity to regive 10% of their share of our revenue to this amazing homeless outreach charity. Not only that, but as a giving partner, we will provide them with our education and Net Zero support.
Two Brews is a homeless outreach charity that goes out 7 nights a week feeding people who are experiencing homelessness, those who are struggling to get a hot meal and who are falling on hard times. They recently became the only outreach team to get an EHO visit and get 5 stars and great feedback, which is something they’re very proud of.
We caught up with co-founder, Amanda Thompson, to find out more about this amazing charity and what the future holds for it!
Please, tell us a little about Two Brews
Two Brews is a Homeless Charity that works 7 nights a week 365 days a year.
We provide people with a warm meal, drinks & essential items to survive on the streets.
Two Brews offer mentorship & assistance when signposting to various services, which often lead to the next steps in housing & employment.
Why is sustainability important to you?
It’s Socially important because, sustainable practices can help strengthen community bonds, improve quality of life and provide hope for a better future.
Why did you decide to collaborate with Play It Green?
To learn more about how, as an outreach team, we could be more sustainable and improve the way we do things. As well as this, to help get the truth out to more people about how easy it is to end up on the streets with nothing but the clothes on how back. Finally, to let everyone know that there is always someone who cares and will be there for them.
What does the future hold for Two Brews?
Unfortunately, Two Brews has a future as homelessness isn’t going to disappear, which is really sad. Hopefully in the future we’ll be able to have the availability to offer homeless shelter. As it stands, it’s only those in paid work groups that have the access to do it. It’s something we’re pushing for, with us being on the streets with them.
