3 step solution - Reduce Repair Regive

Please, tell us a little about Woodstock Cricket

Woodstock Cricket is the most awarded bat manufacturer in the industry over the last 10 years.

As one of the very few bat companies who still make bats by hand, we are committed to not only building a sustainable model and keeping the art of bat-making alive.

Our model isn’t one of profit margins, but one of quality and service across bats, equipment and team wear and this methodology has ensured that Woodstock Cricket is one of the leading businesses in the cricket industry.

Why is sustainability important to you?

Sustainability should be important to everyone.

The cricket industry is guilty of massive wastage, and at Woodstock, we are constantly looking at ways in which we can help the cricket industry become more circular.

Through efforts such as kit recycling programmes, to replanting of Willow trees that we farm for use in our bat manufacturing process, we are trying to do as much as we can to lower our environmental impact and offset as much of our impact as we can by working with Play It Green

Why did you decide to collaborate with Play It Green?

We were introduced by a friend to Richard from Play It Green, and from our initial meeting, we knew we had to get involved.

We also learned a lot about the planting of trees and where they need to be planted in order to maximise the benefit to the environment which we found fascinating.

The work Play It Green does will help our business to both reduce and offset our own environmental footprint which ensures we are doing our bit and we look forward to a long and beneficial collaboration.

By allowing our clients to buy trees alongside their purchases it means our customers now also have the ability to force positive change and we look forward to seeing the benefits of our customers’ contributions to a fantastic cause.

What does the future hold for Woodstock Cricket?

We will continue to grow as a business, all the time looking to ensure our personal environmental impact stays at its minimum.

Sourcing as many UK-manufactured items as possible will help with this goal, and through working with Play It Green we will also be able to ensure that we are creating positive environmental change.
